Born on November 18th 1966 in the surroundings of Pisa, he starts playing diatonic harp in 1987, playing in various blues bands. He approaches Jazz studying "Chromatic Harmonica" (as a self taught person), inspired by Stevie Wonder and Toots Thielemans, but mostly sax players(C.Parker, S.Stitt, A.Pepper, J.Coltrane) and pianists as (Bill Evans, Bud Powell, etc.).

In 1992 and 1993 he attends the Jazz Summer Workshops in Siena (where he exhibits with the "LABORATORY ORCHESTRA OF Bruno Tommaso")and "The Clinics- Berklee College of Music in Boston", organized in Perugia during Umbria Jazz festival.

In 1993/1994 he attends the C.A.M. school of music in Scandicci (Firenze) studying with the late Luca Flores, with whom shortly after plays twice during live concerts. In the meanwhile he enters the "Duke of Abruzzi Big Band", directed by Alessandro Fabbri, playing in several tuscan theatres and concert hall (i.e. Teatro Studio di Scandicci, Auditorium Rodari" C.Bisenzio", the Palasport in Florence with Italian jazz players such as Paolo Fresu and Maurizio Giammarco.

In 1995 he takes part to the movie soundtrack "Io No Speak Inglish" by E.Vanzina (with P.Villaggio). In the same year, together with the jazz quintet "Iridescente", he is one of the finalist at the "EURO JAZZ FEST" in Oristano and in "Summer Jazz Festival" in Prato. With the same band he records a live CD at the "Petilia Festival" in Pitigliano (Grosseto), with the trumpet player P. Fresu as a guest.

In January 1996 he starts studying improvisation and harmony with Prof. Riccardo Arrighini.

Later in the same year he plays in Bruxelles at "The Blues Corner "and attends summer workshops such as "WE LOVE JAZZ 96" in Genova with Benny Golson, Kenny Burrell, Ron Carter, Joe Chambers and as pupil of Ray Santisi and Greg Badolato.

During 1996/1997, he takes part to the jazz winter seminars at the C.P.M. in Siena as a pupil of Marco Tamburini (trumpet player with RAF and JOVANOTTI) and Maurizio Giammarco, attending classes by pianist Enrico Pieranunzi, and the special workshops held by Palle Danielsson and Dave Liebman, with whom he performs live guest appearances.

t the end of September '97 he takes part in the "EUROPE JAZZ CONTEST" in Overijse (Bruxelles).

In 1998 recorded with S.Bollani, L. Pareti, A. Ferrua. He also performed in some jam sessions at jazz fest "Barga Jazz", playing with E.Pieranunzi, A.Kramer, M.Giammarco, M.Tamburini, N.Valiensi, P.Tonolo, S.Gibellini and others, being really appreciated. On September in the same year, he takes part at the "Mentana Jazz Festival" in Rome, with his trio, earning a scholarship for "Berklee in Umbria".

In the 1999 editions of "Chicago Blues Festival" and "Umbria Jazz Festival" he plays with "Sugar Blue Band"(at the "Rosa's Lounge" of Chicago), and at the jam session with Pat Metheny (at the "Celebrate Jazz Club" of Perugia). He's currently teaching (since 1995) at the "Civic School of Music" in Capannori (Lucca).

In 2000 he starts working with ETNOCLASSIC project (the one year later realesed on CD, "ZORONGO" for EMA RECORDS), is a ethnic group (with this band,he plays also in many important festivals, even for the famous actor Don Johnson).

In 2001 he played with Vince Lateano in S. Francisco, and the vibraphonist Gerry Grosz. In New York with Paquito D'Rivera, Randy Brecker, Ada Rovatti and Greta Panettieri. When he comes back from the U. States, born the most important of his own work; ‘'Wheel's Steps'' (Jazz quartet), where played many songs and stiles of music: Be Bop, Samba, Bolero Cubano ecc.

In the February of 2003, played in Cuba city of Havana, with Bellita Esposito and Barney McCall at the famous jazz club "La Zorra Y El Cuervo". He played also in Santiago with Duo Mélodias Cubana. He begins moreover a collaboration with an italian pianist- composer Mauro Grossi.

In the autumn of the same year, he works in Bangkok with Cherryl Hayes (american singer) and others important musicians, at "The Bamboo Bar Jazz Club", "The Plaza Atheneé". Moreover with the afro-cuban jazz noneth at the "Queen's Park Hotel".

In 2004 born two new project one on cuban music, 'Encanto Latin' with the bassplayer and composer Alberto Bientinesi, and "The Naples Project" on italian popular music.
