His technique and knowledge of both the jazz and the classical repertoire
has allowed him to experience TV performances (recording for RTE national

local TV programs); solid studio session experience recording for several productions
and also for Amnesty International and for the singer Sergio Bruni
(arguably the most famous traditional Neapolitan singer in the world); orchestra
("Cork Opera Works" EIRE in the 2005, at the
"Diana Theatre" of Naples 1996/1997/1998)
and chamber music.
"Both Luca's playing and the compositions are really great. The whole album has a really lovely melodic sense to it. " Guy Barker (trumpet-player) "To be filed under avant garde, folk might well be a way of classifying this highly musical duo. Both have made genuine impressions on the London improvisational scene and this album shows their technical assurance, creative ability and natural versatility." "JAZZ JOURNAL INTERNATIONAL" "Classically trained Italian virtuoso Luca Luciano, now resident in London, takes the clarinet to the higher ground in a sensational duo with Franco Piccinno, a pianist with an equally warm and original touch. Together, they catch the spirit and take off on a joyful improvisational journey." "JAZZ UK" "Mr. Luciano's command of the clarinet, in particular, is clearly evident providing the listener with a frolicsome approach to his solos…" Frank Griffith, "MUSICIANS" (UK) "The album is very unique and beautiful!" Gilad Atzmon (saxophonist) "I have enjoyed myself listening to the album, it is a very beautiful piece of work, thought and written very well and played hugely. This is exactly the music I love!" Gabriele Mirabassi (clarinettist) "…great sound, a really beautiful album, compliments!" Gianluigi Trovesi (clarinettist, ECM) "The Neapolitan duo presents a fresh and innovative view on jazz, unlimited by genre or style." Teignmouth South Devon Jazz Festival (UK) "In the album Neapolis, Luciano shows the typical features of a mature musician with a sound and a style, in his writings, absolutely unique." "JazzIT" (leading Italian Jazz Magazine) ...and more Luca and his compositions have been quoted in an upcoming book/catalogue about the repertoire of the clarinet published in Italy and his music has been broadcast in many countries including the UK, Italy, France, Norway, Brazil, Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Alaska and North America.
