A high-quality recording where one can enjoy the clarinet evolution in any of its own small details. The interplay with Piccinno's pianism comes from an understanding that overcomes the music idiom and makes one clearly understand that the two musicians know each-other personally adapting their own style in accordance to the other performer. Yet every number is played with perceptible passion.

…About Franco Piccinno
B
orn in Naples (Italy) on June 9th 1973, pianist Piccinno started studying classical music at the age of nine. He carried on his studies getting a degree in piano at the Conservatoire of Avellino (Italy) with the best rate and the forth grade of composition. His experience includes all genres from jazz to classical (he collaborated with the “Verdi” Orchestra in Milan) to pop music. After appearing at “Pomigliano Jazz Festival” (Italy) edition 2000 and 2001 (which included artists like Chick Corea, Dee Dee Bridgwater, H. Hancock, J. Redman, Enrico Pierannunzi and others) he was produced by the "Itinera" label for his debut album as leader of his trio performing his own compositions. Actually based in London, he is active in UK as much as in Italy and has collaborated with: Gilad Atzmon, Tullio de Piscopo.
